Immoveable Backboards stifled competition at both ends of this gym.  They were dead hung (fixed, immoveable). If all you were ever doing was playing basketball, that might not be so bad, but these backboards needed to get out of the way (think volleyball). American Athletix removed the dead hung and replaced them with new moveable stations.

We can make them swing to left, swing to the right, and before you can say, “Fight, Fight, Fight,” we can make them extend forward and backward too.
