Backboards should be configured to meet the needs of your gym.

OK– so it really wasn’t a backward backboard.

This may have been worse.  The backboard assembly and supports swung forward when it should have been designed to swing back.

Not everyone would want to tackle this job but American Athletix did.  We got the backboard and the supports swinging the right way, put up some safety straps, and installed some backboard hoists.

We did it on time and on budget.

For things like this and for simpler, yet essential things, like inspecting and preventive maintenance for basketball stations, batting cages and stage accessories let us know.  It’s getting to where we are inspecting “everywhere where people play.”

American Athletix can provide and install nearly every make of backboard and rim and that’s a pretty big deal.  However, there are other companies that can, at least, come to close to that.  Then, again, many of those exist only in the ether world and are not available if you need someone to visit your gym, look you in the eye and fix a problem.

There is a good chance, that in your area, your options for having a company come into your school and completely reconfigure your backboard stations, actually, disconnect and move them, are, literally, fewer than the fingers on one of your hands.
