Backboard Backstops

You, probably, don’t shop for basketball backstops every day of the week– maybe not even every year of the decade. So how do you go about that?  How do you really know, structurally, what you want?  If the project has to be bid, how do you go about building the specs?

Free help is always good and you can get that from American Athletix.  “Free” help –yep– that is what I said.

If you have fallen in love with the clean lines of a single stem backstop, we can introduce you to the company that designed the first single stemmed, all welded main frame.

If you want to make things a little easier on the mechanicals that raise and lower your backstops, you will want to know about our high strength, steel, mechanical tubing. We work closely with the company the first used that support.

If you, really, want to soar to new heights, our partner in backstops was thBasketball Backstope first to install one that was 71′ high and folding.

Sometimes, when folks are buying gymnasium equipment, the first thing those who issue the purchase orders ask is, “What kind of warranty does this have?”  Do you think 25 years can pass the test?

If you have been looking at designs that are “uniframe” and “double-drop” — stop.  If you don’t know what type is being priced to you– ask.  If you are not hearing “Tetrahedral,” give us a call. The “TET” is a back-to-back right triangle backstop frame.  The geometry of this design produces extreme rigidity that directs the support braces to the point of ball impact, resulting in the shortest recovery time in the industry.

Need a little help from a friend on the subject of backstops, backboards, goals, safety straps and winches? Give the folks at American Athletix a call at 888-399-4999 and we will be happy to answer your questions.
